Privacy

Short version: you only need an account to buy or use PasteMotion Pro. We keep very little about you, we never see your card details, and there is no ad tracking on the site. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use the site, as described below.

If you create an account, it's handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider. That holds your email address and, if you add them, your name and profile picture.

On your account record we also keep:

• whether you have Pro, and when it started,
• the reference of your Pro payment, plus references of any payments that were refunded, so a refund can't be undone by a late notification, and
• the time you first opened Pro code, which we use to apply the refund policy.

We use this only to run your account and Pro access. We don't sell it or share it for marketing.

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. At checkout, your account email is passed to Dodo, and Dodo collects your card or UPI details, billing address and any tax information. The payment details go to Dodo, not to us, and we don't store them. Dodo tells us when a payment succeeds or is refunded, along with a payment reference.

There are no advertising scripts on PasteMotion. Clerk uses the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. Your browser also keeps two small preferences on your own device: your recent searches and whether the custom cursor is on. Neither is sent to us.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, through heatmaps and recordings of page interactions such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Clarity masks text you type into forms, and the data is used only to improve PasteMotion, never for advertising. Clarity is set up without cookies, so it doesn't recognise you from one visit to the next. Microsoft processes this data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can block it with any content blocker.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which, like any host, processes the technical details of each request (such as your IP address) to serve pages and keep the site secure.

To see what we hold about you, correct it, or have your account deleted, email support@pastemotion.dev from your account address. Payment records may be kept by Dodo for as long as the law requires. See also the terms.
